About Yuko
This page is about me.
I am originally from Fukuoka, Japan. I came to the United States in 1996 as an exchange student program in high school. I went to college called Miami University in Oxford Ohio majoring in B.S. Chemistry. I came to Los Angeles to attend Chemistry PhD program in UCLA. After soul searching, I changed my major to Material Science and Engineering and completed their Master's program. Upon graduation, I decide that I want to be a web designer started my own business yupio.com where I was involved in more than 80 projects. In 2006, I realized I want to take a break from runing my own business and started working as a developer at DocMagic, Inc. I am happy working there with people who are nice, fun and loves technology.
In 2005 I achieved the USMAF certified rank of Senior Black-Belt Practitioner. In 2007 & 2008, successfully completed The Yoga Naga primary instructor qualification course Part 1 and Part 2.
Recently, I decide that I am going to merge my passion Tai Chi and Web Development. So here it is... GreatTaiChi.com was born!
As part of the development in Tai Chi, I teach a class at Shakti's Elements on Saturdays. I love teaching Tai Chi. It's very rewarding and I learn tremendously. To see my Tai Chi journey, please click here.
